David Davies, an evacuee in World War II, shares his unpleasant experience with the second family he lived with during his time as an evacuee. After leaving a nice family home in Chorleywood, he arrived at a new family home who were not as welcoming – especially one of the sisters. David tells a story of when he threw a butter knife at the nasty sister. He had watched a couple of action films and thought he could ‘get her out of the way’.
