Did the sugar industry in Florida ruin beaches?

 
Diver and activist Bill D’Antuono says that a 2014 Amendment in Florida’s law, designed to help the ballooning environmental problems in Lake Okeechobee, has not been implemented correctly due to the influence of the sugar industry, which he claims is largely responsible for pollution that has wrecked much of Southwest Florida’s natural landscape.
