Stuck in limbo after 9/11 attacks

Australian Margaret Haindl and her husband witnessed the 9/11 attacks while visiting New York for a medical conference. Their airline suspended all flights back to Australia, and she describes what it was like to remain in a city that was in panic and partially abandoned. She also describes getting a phone call from Australia telling her that her son had his teeth knocked out. After what she’d seen she was just relieved to know he was alive and not seriously injured.
