The rich history of the Hamilton Road in Kurdistan

Tom Badham-Thornhill discovered A.M. Hamilton’s Road Through Kurdistan (1937), which led him to discover the beautiful mountainous route built to bypass the Zagros Mountains, connecting the West to Iran through Kurdish Iraq.  Tom and his friend Jasper Hadman later walked the full length of the road, dressed in traditional Kurdish attire.
