We were the most vulnerable

Reverend Arnold Townsend says that the gentrification that displaced African Americans in the Fillmore District of San Francisco was not just an accident of economics, but a collective choice to ignore the most vulnerable group in the city. He also says that the ‘Progressives’ that decry gentrification were not wrong, but many of them were part of earlier rounds of gentrification.
