“The optimism of the 90s died that day”

On September 11th, 2001, Boaz Sachs was having coffee with a friend in London when they received a confused SMS bringing the first news of the terrorist attacks in New York City. Boaz’s father was on business in New York, so he immediately called his father to make sure he was OK. Later, after the second plane hit the World Trade Center, telephone lines were down so Boaz became responsible for telling family all over the world that his father was safe.
